Today is Rakhi Day!

B:  This is me and my sister.  I'm feeding her because it's a special day and I am giving her a sweet thing because we have bitter and sweet things that we get to taste.  The sweet thing is pudding.

I am giving my brother a bitter thing that comes from hops.

I am getting my bracelet from my sister, because at rakhi day, we make bracelets for each other, and we each have to make two.  A bracelet means that they'll take care of me.

Just for the record, the "bitter thing that comes from hops" is tea.  Not beer.

Kites!

T:

I was flying a kite, and having fun.  This kite works better in light wind than my other kite, which works better in stronger wind.  I got the first one from my Uncle Bob, and the second one from my mom's cousin Deirdre.

This is the one from Deirdre.  There is a cat on it.

These are the two kites together.  The green one, as you can see, is not as high because it doesn't fly as well in weak wind.  And the cat kite is higher because it flies better in light wind.

I got a new pogo stick!

B:

I got a new pogo stick from Margy and I had lots of fun.

I can jump about three or four times, but once I get used to it, I will be able to jump a lot of times.

This is actually how humid it is here.

Scrumptious!

T:
We have a sweet corn patch.  There is approximately a million stalks in the patch.  The rows are very long, and the corn is delicious.  We made creamed corn out of some of it, to freeze and eat later.

This is a picture of me and Brinda eating corn.  It was DELICIOUS.
