Beach resort in Kannur

Our family, Nora, and Kate all went to this wonderful beach. We stayed in this nice home stay that was 100 meters from the beach. I went to the beach about 2 times a day. It was so fun. Nora and I jumped the waves, it was so cool. We had fish and Indian food every night at the home stay

Brinda's Horse Ride in the Connemara

B:

Me and my brother were riding a horse and we were tied to another horse. Then we walked down to a beach. We are in the Connemara. It's rocky and not a lot of people live there. It's in the west. It was a one hour drive there.

The first horse is my dads horse, second is my aunt, third is my grandpa.
This is the beach we were on.

Neave is riding a horse. She rode in the pen. She didn't ride on the roads.

Tucker got a ribbon for riding a horse. And I got one too.

Brinda's Trip to the North

B:

This is me and Tucker. We were at the Giant's Causeway. The Giant's Causeway is near Belfast, and Belfast is in a different country. The name of the country Belfast is in is Northern Ireland.

This is the Giant's Causeway. It was formed by lava a long time ago. Have you noticed that the rocks are like a stop-sign shape?

There's a story of how it was formed. A long time ago there was a bridge. It started at one side, then came all the way over to the other side, made of those same rocks. And then the waves broke it. It took a long time, but the waves did break it. The other side of the bridge was in Scotland. Did you know that I was twelve miles away from a different country, Scotland?

As you can see in this picture, the rocks do go up and down.

Here's what they look like from the side. I stuck a Pound penny into the wall, and that means that you are going to come back in ten years, when I'm 20.

Fun fact: In Ireland the money, instead of dollars, it's euros. In Northern Ireland, instead of dollars and euros, it's called pounds.

We were watching a video about Giant's Causeway. This was at the museum center. As you can see, the big guy was Benandonner, and the woman was Oonagh, Fionn McCool's wife. Did you know that McCabe is an Irish name?

This is a part of story about how the Giant's Causeway was formed, and wrecked.

Brinda's night in Galway

B:

this is a sculpture in Galway city.
Its right near the train station in Eyre square.

I went to a really cool restaurant that had fish and chips.

Fun fact: The name chips in Ireland means french fries. You call chips crisps.

Taaffes is a bar in Galway City. We accidentally missed the train, and then we had to go home at 10:30. I listened to some traditional Irish music in Taaffes. Some of the instruments were two banjos, Uilleann pipes, and an accordion.

Fun fact: In Ireland, songs is where you sing, and tunes is where you play and don't sing.

And another fun fact: Bars in Ireland are called pubs.

Here is Banba House

B:

This is my first blog post from Ireland. We're in Galway, Athenry. We arrived about 10 o'clock and we got a tour of the house.

This is my bedroom. I like my stripes on my bed. I share it with my cousin Eloise.

This is the yard that we play in. In Ireland, it's called a garden, not a yard. I brought my hula hoops. I can hula hoop, and you can play tag. There's tiny rocks for a sidewalk. And there's a big driveway filled with tiny rocks.

This is the family room. There are three couches in here. You can only see one of them, though. There's a tv that doesn't work.

Being in Ireland is kind of tiring, but it's kind of exciting too. And interesting. I'm going to see a castle on the third day of the third month in 2016.

having fun on the tube

B:

I'm in my back yard standing on a tube and it's fun. And it was a few days after we built it, I think.

This is me climbing the wooden structure. It wiggles when the other kids swing.

having fun jumping off swings

It was a nice day, and I had fun swinging and jumping off.

This is me, about jumping off.

You can see my foot in the corner. The turkeys watch me. They stay at the side of the swings.

pear fun

B:

I am holding a pear that came off of our pear tree. Mom took care of it and Mom and Grandpa helped plant it. This is the first time we got pears off of it. They're delicious.

super knitting

B:

One day I was knitting. And I was learning how to knit, because I hadn't knit in a long time.

This I was showing you how much I made. It was not that much. When I was pulling on it, the ravels came out, and it was one big mess.

I am casting on some loops. Mom taught me how to cast on loops, so I was casting on loops.

happy playground festival

B:

We got a new playground. And there's a monkey bars, there's a tunnel, and we're probably going to get a slide. It is in our back yard. We bought it from another family in Sioux Falls.

All of our family put it up. Mark, Megan, Cullen, Elo, Grandma Lori, Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Tucker, Neave, and me.

We were in po

That's me screwing in the stairs to be a big help.

Some of the nails came loose when we moved it. Neave is helping put them back in.

Tucker is putting in the tunnel. You can go across and go to another playhouse.

They're putting up the monkey bars. I think the monkey bars are the best part of the playground. I like to skip 2.

the silly popcorn day

B:

That's me eating popcorn with yeast. I like the popcorn and butter and (nutritional) yeast. I made the popcorn by myself. And my dad got to eat some of it, and I got to eat some of it.

reading my book

B:

I was reading Clementine book. And I think it's good. Because I want to find out if Clementine get back together because Margaret ripped her booklet out of Clementine's hand. And she got mad of Clementine because Margaret hates germs.

I like Clementine. This is the first book I've read on my own. My family has read a lot of other Clementine books.
